About Scenic City Arborists

From the brow of Lookout Mountain the city reads as a canopy with rooftops in it, the Tennessee River bending through all that green. Scenic City Arborists thinks about the canopy one tree at a time: what a maple needs to hold its crown, why an oak is thinning on the south side, where a cut today saves a limb ten years out. The work is tree care and pruning first, tree health looked at closely, removal only when the tree has already made the decision. Chattanooga summers are hot and wet and hard on a stressed tree, and the dormant months are when the shaping cuts get made. A city keeps its shade by paying attention to it.
