About Chattanooga Landcare

The call that matters comes near four in the morning, after sleet has been ticking against the windows over Brainerd for an hour and the whole city is waiting to see what the roads decided. Chattanooga Landcare answers it with plows on the drives, shovels on the walks, and salt worked into the places where a car has to stop and a person has to step. On mornings like that a cleared driveway is the difference between a normal day and a cancelled one. There is something steadying about pulling out of the last address just as the eastern sky goes gray behind the ridge. Then the school buses come through, and the ice they were worried about is already gone.
