Anderson Gutter & Tree

About Anderson Gutter & Tree

Out at Lupton City the streets still follow the plan of an old mill village, short and orderly under the shoulder of Mountain Creek, where the hills funnel weather down early. When sleet starts ticking at dusk, Anderson Gutter & Tree is loading salt and heading that way to plow drives, clear parking areas, and shovel the walks and steps that ice over first. A quiet neighborhood in a cold snap asks for one thing — to be able to get out — and that is the whole assignment. The work happens between supper and midnight, when porch lights are the only landmarks. By morning the pavement is dark and wet again, which in this business counts as applause.
