Up on the ridges west of Camden the wind crosses bare hardwood with nothing to slow it, and a winter dusk turns the gravel drives the color of pewter. Busbys Land Development works that country when the weather turns — pushing snow off long rural driveways, opening farm lanes and work sites, and clearing lots down to the surface so a truck can pull out at daylight. Grade and drainage decide everything here; a hillside drive holds ice where a flat one never would, and knowing which is which is half of the job.
