About FLETCHER EXCAVATING & HAULING

Butler is the town that moved uphill when Watauga Lake rose over its old streets, and it still sits above the water with the Johnson County mountains crowding close. Winter reaches it from the high ridges, and one storm can bury the lake roads and every steep gravel driveway under a deep hush. FLETCHER EXCAVATING & HAULING clears snow in Butler, pushing lanes and drives open so neighbors can reach the main road again. There is a particular satisfaction in the job: the blade biting down to gravel, the berm set tidily to one side, a passage cut before most kitchens have the coffee going. When the lake mist burns off and the plowed lane shows dark between the banks, the morning can start.
