Goat Grass Cutting Company

About Goat Grass Cutting Company

Toward Avoca and out the Bluff City road, Bristol loosens into pasture and the line between yard and field becomes negotiable. Goat Grass Cutting Company handles that negotiation with a mower and a trimmer: the lawn taken down clean, the fence line pushed back, the ditch bank and the shed corners knocked out where growth likes to hide. Late in the day, with the sun low over the fields and cut grass smelling the way only cut grass smells, a property reads as tended all the way to its edges. Nothing dramatic happens — a place simply stops looking like it is getting away from anybody. That is the whole pleasure of the trade.
