On a June evening the smell of cut grass hangs over this end of Hamilton County until well after supper, and that is the season most people know Hulgan Lawncare & Landscaping by — mowing, trimming, edging, beds kept sharp and the yard held all summer long. Then comes a January morning when the valley wakes up white and nobody is ready, and the same trucks turn out with plows, shovels and salt. Driveways get cleared to the blacktop, walks cut back to a clean shoulder, steps and porches opened so the mail can land where it should. Both jobs are really the same job: an edge drawn on purpose and then kept. Green in July, bare pavement in January, and the place looking looked-after either way.
