Garrett's Mowing & More

About Garrett's Mowing & More

Adamsville sits in the McNairy County hills, where the cicadas start up by mid-morning and the heat leans on the hayfields the rest of the day. Garrett's Mowing & More works against that clock — cutting early, trimming through the middle of it, edging the walks last so a yard reads clean all the way from the road. The best part is the final pass, when the lines run true and a lawn looks like somebody cares about it. When the sweetgums along the Selmer road let go in the fall, the job turns to raking and hauling leaves off before the first hard frost pins them down. Ordinary work, done properly, yard by yard on the streets of Adamsville and the roads out toward Michie and Stantonville.
