Aspen Tree Services

About Aspen Tree Services

When Kampeska freezes over and the wind comes flat across the ice, Watertown's trees take the full weight of a South Dakota winter. Aspen Tree Services works that season and the three that follow — pruning while the wood is dormant, trimming crowns clear of cabins and rooflines, removing the elms and box elders a hard freeze finished off. Spring brings the other half of the job, when wet snow or a sudden gust drops limbs across a lakeside drive and the cleanup is what the morning is for. What holds up over time is the care in the cut: nothing torn, nothing left hanging, the ground raked before the truck leaves. Around Watertown and the lake country nearby, that is the shape of the work.
