TC's Lawn Care

About TC's Lawn Care

The land around Wagner opens into wide, rolling grassland that runs toward the Yankton Sioux reservation lands to the east, a horizon broken mostly by shelterbelts and the occasional grain bin. TC's Lawn Care works those open approaches, where a driveway can sit exposed to wind from three directions and fill in again within an hour of being cleared. Getting ahead of a storm out here means starting before first light, since a rural lane left until midmorning can already be impassable by the time the plow arrives. Back in town, the shorter blocks near the school need less muscle but the same attention to the corners where meltwater refreezes overnight into a slick patch by the crosswalk. Winter on this stretch of prairie is a long, open season, and the work follows its rhythm rather than fighting it.
