About Meyer Services, Inc.

East of Brookings the section roads run arrow-straight across farmland that was Russian and German immigrant ground a century back, and Volga still carries their surnames on its mailboxes. Meyer Services, Inc. covers those grid roads and the driveways branching off them, clearing farm lanes before the milking or feeding schedule and working back into town for the residential streets once the rural routes are open. A wind out of the northwest here has nothing to catch until it hits a house or a windbreak, so drifts tend to build against the same yards every storm, and knowing which corner of which drive fills in first saves a second pass later in the day. Main Street empties out fast on a cold morning, but the walks around the handful of storefronts still open get cleared just the same, one more thing keeping the town's center going through a long flat winter.
