Lawn Rangers

About Lawn Rangers

Out on the eastern edge of Minnehaha County, close to the Minnesota line, Valley Springs wakes to winter mornings where Beaver Creek lies hushed under ice and the fields beyond town glow blue before sunrise. Lawn Rangers clears snow here, pushing open driveways and walks while the streetlights are still humming. There is a particular satisfaction in a lane cut clean down to dark pavement, its banks squared and set back so the next drift has somewhere to go. Before the morning commute begins, doorsteps across town are open again and nobody has to think twice about stepping out into the cold. It is winter work done with a ranger's habit of keeping watch over home ground.
