About Prairie Homes

Tea has grown fast on this stretch of prairie, with new streets and cul-de-sacs laid out where fields ran not long ago, and the young trees in those front yards are still too small to slow the wind. So a Tea snowfall rarely stays where it lands; it drifts across fresh driveways and packs hard against garage doors. Prairie Homes takes a blade and a scoop to it, opening driveways and front walks so the weekday commute starts on bare pavement. In a new neighborhood, an open driveway is a small piece of reassurance that the house works and that winter here is manageable. On a bright morning once the clouds clear, the opened drives trace a neat pattern across all that white.
