About WoodChip Tree Services

Late summer in the northern hills smells like warm ponderosa, and by mid-morning the whine of a chipper carries a long way up a Spearfish street. WoodChip Tree Services spends those days aloft and on the rope — trimming a crown back off a roof, pruning deadwood out of an old spruce, taking down a pine that beetles or lightning already claimed. Hills weather does not negotiate, so when a downburst rolls off the ridge the job is limbs cleared, driveways reopened, and the whole mess turned into a truckload of chips. The best part is the quiet afterward: a swept yard, a house with breathing room around it, everything left standing that ought to stand. That runs from Spearfish east through the valley towns and up into the draws.
