About Big Hill Landscaping

Head south out of Spearfish on Tinton Road and the town drops away in a few switchbacks, ponderosa closing in until Big Hill opens its long shoulder to the sky. Big Hill Landscaping takes its name from that climb, and something of its temper too — patient with grades, unbothered by ground that refuses to lie flat. On October afternoons, when the light comes in sideways and the pine shadows stripe a yard in bars, the mowing lines they leave run like corduroy across the grass. Trimming and edging finish what the deck starts, and the fall cleanup hauls off the needles and leaf drop before heavy weather mats them into the turf. It is ordinary work done exactly, and a lawn that shows it from the road.
