The first hard frost in southwest Meade shows on the north side of everything — the shaded strip beside the garage, the low ground along Boxelder Creek — while the sunny half of the yard is still growing. MB Lawncare works the whole back end of that season. Late mowing, right down to the final cut. Leaves and ponderosa needles raked out of the corners where the wind parks them, trimming tightened up along walks and drives, the yard put away clean for the cold. Black Hawk sits close enough to hear the interstate and close enough to the pines to smell them, and a lawn here takes both the traffic dust and the needle drop. Come the far side of winter it should look like someone was paying attention all along, and that is the point of the work.
