About WJS Contracting, LLC

By the time this crew's equipment is out on the roads near Mapleton, most of the town is asleep and the sky overhead is the clear, hard kind of cold that comes after a front passes through. Heavy equipment on a farm lane at that hour throws its own kind of light, headlamps swinging across a cornfield edge, the blade catching frozen ruts before they can set for the day. It's the same machines that move dirt and gravel in warmer months, turned to a different job once the ground locks up. A long rural driveway, pushed clear before four in the morning, means a farm operation can start its day without waiting on the weather. Out here, where a stuck lane can cost a whole morning, that head start is the point of showing up before the stars are gone.
