By mid-September the old shade streets begin letting go a few leaves at a time, and the afternoon light turns thin and gold. University Lawn Care mows through that turn, when the grass is still growing and the leaves are already falling and both need handling in the same visit. Yards here run from tight corner lots to long open ones, and each takes its own approach to come out even. Trimmed close along the fences, mowed at a height that carries the turf into the cold, with the leaves kept from packing down. A tidy street in autumn is a small and entirely real pleasure.
