About KC Services

KC Services keeps to a short list of modest blocks off West 12th Street, small brick bungalows built for a mid-century workforce that's mostly retired now, their driveways just wide enough for one car and a lifetime of habit. There's nothing flashy about the route — no big commercial lots, no new subdivisions — just a truck working the same two dozen driveways every time it snows, early enough that the owners wake up to a cleared path rather than a plan for the day. Winter light here comes low and slow across the rooftops, catching frost on chain-link fences before it catches much else, and the crew works largely by memory of the block rather than any map. It's steady, repeat work that a smaller neighborhood depends on mostly because nobody else notices it unless it's missed. KC just keeps showing up, storm after storm, until March finally loosens its grip.
