About Elite Lawncare and Landscaping, LLC.

Redfield calls itself the Pheasant Capital of the World, and every October the town fills with hunters whose trucks are still parked along Main Street when the first real snow finally arrives out of the northwest a month or two later. Elite Lawncare and Landscaping switches from mowing yards and trimming shelterbelts to plowing driveways the same week the James River bottoms freeze over and the sloughs east of town go still and white. Spink County's farmyards sit far apart, so a storm here means long stretches between driveways rather than block after block of them, and the crew's routes run out along gravel section lines as often as they run through town. Farmstead lanes get plowed wide enough for a grain truck to pass, town driveways get cleared to the garage door, and walkways get shoveled clear for whoever's still up early doing chores before daylight. Wind off the open fields drifts a cleared lane shut again within hours some mornings, so a second pass by afternoon isn't unusual. The route covers Redfield and out toward Doland, Frankfort and Tulare.
