About O'Connell Construction

Just outside town, Lake Waggoner catches the long June light and holds it well past supper, a bright coin dropped into the shortgrass of western South Dakota. Back in Philip, O'Connell Construction does lawn care, keeping yards trimmed and tidy through the stretch of summer when rain on the plains feels like a gift and the grass grows as if it knows it. Out here a green lawn is a small act of faith against the dry wind, and a fresh mow with a true edge along the walk is how you honor it. Meadowlarks call from the fence lines while the clippings dry in the sun. By the time the sky over Haakon County turns apricot, the yard is cut, the lines are crisp, and the evening belongs to the porch.
