About Mason Landscaping & Construction

Out among the farmsteads and section-line roads of Palisade, a July afternoon can build thunderheads in the west, tall and white and stacked over the corn. Mason Landscaping & Construction, a landscaping and construction business, handles lawn care here, keeping yards in shape between the storms. After a soaking rain the grass in this corner of Minnehaha County shoots up almost overnight, and a timely mow restores the clean lines of a yard against its shelterbelt and gravel drive. It is grounded, honest work: grass cut evenly, edges trimmed sharp where lawn meets lane, everything looking settled and cared for. When the clouds drift off toward the Minnesota line and the evening clears, a tidy yard glistening in the after-rain light is reward enough.
