About Legendary Lawns LLC

Mellette carries the name of South Dakota's first governor, but on a June morning this little Spink County town belongs to the meadowlarks and the rooster pheasants calling from the field edges. Legendary Lawns LLC brings that same open-country brightness to the yards in between, mowing in long, even passes that lay the grass down in stripes you can spot from the road. Lawn care on this flat, rich farmland is a summer-long conversation with sun and wind: grass that leaps up after a thunderstorm, edges that want crisping along every sidewalk and driveway. What remains is a lawn glowing in the long gold light of evening, clean-edged and green against the wheat and beans beyond town. In Mellette, a cared-for lawn is like a flag planted at the edge of the prairie.
