About SoDak Snow Solutions

The morning after a real system moves through the flats around Mapleton, the wind has usually done half the work and made the other half worse, drifts sculpted waist-high across one driveway, another blown nearly bare. Reading that wind is most of the job on open ground like this, where there's nothing between the fields and the next low rise to slow a gust down. This crew works the whole stretch of open country the storm left behind, one property at a time, cutting through packed drift lines that a lighter plow would just ride over. The driveway goes quiet once it's finally open end to end, engine idling at the last push before the turnaround. Across this flat stretch of South Dakota, that's the job: go where the wind piled it worst and open it back up.
