Bud's Clean Up Service

About Bud's Clean Up Service

On a winter morning in Madison, the brick storefronts along Egan Avenue sit hushed under new snow, and the first footprints belong to whoever is up earliest. Bud's Clean Up Service lives up to its name when storms move through the Lake County seat, clearing drives, walks and lots and handing the town back its morning. Madison is a college town too, home to Dakota State University, and there is a pleasant bustle when students and shopkeepers alike find a clear path waiting. Cleanup is a humble word for a satisfying job: scraping, pushing and squaring away the mess a blizzard leaves behind. When the sun finally clears the rooftops, the scraped pavement glints dark and wet, and the day feels possible again.
