About Sjolie Construction LLC

Lake Preston took its name from the broad prairie lake nearby, and in February that water lies locked under ice while snow skates across its surface and into town on the wind. Highway 14 runs straight through this Kingsbury County community, and once a storm passes, the work is about making sure every drive and lot connects back to that road. Sjolie Construction LLC brings the heft of a construction outfit to snow removal, plowing out driveways and lots, then pushing the piles where they will not block a window or a door. There is satisfaction in watching hard-packed white peel away to reveal the shape of a yard again. On short winter afternoons, with the sun low and pink across the ice, a cleared lane looks like an invitation home.
