About Double H

Kadoka takes its name from a Lakota word often translated as hole in the wall, a fitting name for the Jackson County seat that sits at the doorway to the Badlands. West of town the eroded spires stand pale and banded against the sky, and in winter the wind races over them and down the Interstate 90 corridor, carrying snow sideways for miles. Double H answers that wind with snow removal, opening drives and lots so ranch trucks and travelers alike can keep moving. The reward lies in the contrast: wild, carved country on the horizon, and right here a smooth, cleared square of ground. In a town that lives at the edge of something vast, a plowed way home matters.
