C & B Operations

About C & B Operations

Gettysburg, South Dakota, likes to say it is where the battle wasn't fought, but winter brings a contest of its own to Potter County. C & B Operations takes on snow removal here, clearing town drives, sidewalks and lots when storms sweep across the uplands from the Lake Oahe country to the west. On this high, open ground the wind does as much work as the snowfall, so every lane is cut wide and banked well clear of its edges. Before dawn the work is already underway, so Gettysburg is moving before the coffee has cooled. When the sun finally lifts over the horizon, the streets lie clean and the snow stands in neat white ridges along their sides.
