Lawns Unlimited

About Lawns Unlimited

Freeman sits up on the Hutchinson County tableland where the shelterbelts run in straight dark rows and the wind has nothing at all to slow it down. Lawns Unlimited keeps the yards there even and green through a season that swings from spring mud to August heat in a hurry — mowing, trimming, edging, fertilizing and weed control, week after week. Aeration and overseeding go in once the nights cool, because turf on this prairie earns its depth or it does not last. Come autumn the ash and elm drop together and the leaf work begins; by the last mow the lawns go into winter short and clean. Off Highway 81 the fields run gold for miles, and a trim yard in front of all that is a small, satisfying thing.
