Bauer Services

About Bauer Services

Six Mile Creek cuts a quiet ribbon through Brookings, its walking trail buried under fresh snow most winter mornings before anyone but the earliest joggers presses a single footprint into it. Bauer Services is often out on the streets bordering that creek before sunrise, clearing driveways in a college town that never quite goes fully to sleep even in the coldest months. Student rentals near campus with narrow front walks and older family homes farther out with wider drives each get read on their own terms rather than one approach for the whole route. A driveway that was an unbroken sheet of white at 5 a.m. is bare and edged clean by the time its owner needs to leave for an 8 o'clock class or shift, plain as that. As the sky over the creek trail goes from black to gray to the pale gold of a prairie sunrise, the streets this crew has worked already look like the day got a head start on the storm.
