About Bachar Lawn Care & Landscape

Late August in Brookings has a rhythm to it: the afternoon heat stacks thunderheads out over the soybean fields west of town, and the whole crew starts watching the sky while they work. Bachar Lawn Care & Landscape has learned to read that hour — mow the open lots first, finish the tight corners along Medary Avenue after, and get the trimmings swept before the first fat drops land. Mowing, trimming and landscaping are the trade, and the reward is a street of yards standing clean and level when the rain finally sweeps through. Afterward the grass comes up greener than it had any right to be. That is a good day's work in a farm town that respects it.
