Nick's lawn service

About Nick's lawn service

Avon is a farming town in western Bon Homme County, its name thought to come from England's River Avon, though the land around it is pure South Dakota. Nick's lawn service is set up here for snow removal in Avon, the winter side of a business whose name points to lawns. Between late fall and the March thaw, snow comes in on a north wind and piles deep against garages and fence rows. A driveway scraped down to gravel or concrete and a shoveled path to the door mean the day can start on time. Where only a few hundred people live, a neighbor with a plow is part of how winter gets handled.
