Wally's Skid Steer

About Wally's Skid Steer

Streets near Northern State University fill up fast with parked cars once classes are in session, which leaves a narrower lane for snow to sit in than almost anywhere else in Aberdeen. Wally's Skid Steer works those tight residential blocks with equipment built for exactly that kind of squeeze, lifting snow up and out rather than pushing it into the piles a full-size truck would leave along the curb. A skid steer can turn inside its own length, which matters on a street where a driveway apron, a parked car, and a mailbox post might all sit within a few feet of each other. This crew clears driveways and short lots around that part of town through the winter, working the narrow spaces a bigger blade would just skip over. Once the piles are gone from the curb lines, those same streets open back up almost to their summer width, cars and all.
