JD's Tree Service

About JD's Tree Service

York keeps its old streets under old trees — white oaks and maples arching over the historic district a few blocks off the courthouse square. JD's Tree Service works in those close quarters, where a removal has to come down in pieces, rigged and lowered rather than dropped, and where trimming means giving a house room without giving up the shade. Pruning is the long game here: deadwood out, structure set, a tree that can hold its own when the wind comes off Kings Mountain. After a storm the clearing is a matter of hours — drives opened, limbs gone, sidewalks brushed off. The best days end with a street that looks untouched, which is exactly the idea, here in York and the towns spread out around it.
