About J & J Hamilton Landscape Contractors, LLC

Spring in Walterboro is when the live oaks let go — old leaves down in a slow copper rain right as everything else is greening up, a joke the Lowcountry has been telling forever. J & J Hamilton Landscape Contractors, LLC works straight through it: raking and blowing out the beds, taking the first real growth of the year, re-cutting bed edges so the mulch line sits as a dark seam against new grass. Around the old courthouse the oaks are the town's furniture, and beneath trees like that a lawn wants a different touch — a taller cut, shrubs trimmed back to let the light down. The payoff arrives in late April, when a yard that looked ragged in February is dense and even and deep enough to hold a shadow. After that it's the steady rhythm of the season, week on week, until the heat finally breaks.
