Gassmaskedman

About Gassmaskedman

For about three weeks every spring, everything in Oconee County wears the same coat of yellow pine pollen: cars, porches, the water in the birdbath. Gassmaskedman goes to work in it anyway, opening the season with the first mow while the fescue is still cool-weather thick and the dogwoods are just deciding. Mowing, edging, trimming the fence line, then blowing the walks and drive back down to clean gray. It is a good feeling, that first cut of March, when a yard comes into focus all at once. From there it is steady lawn care through a Walhalla summer, week on week.
