Travelers Rest Mulch

About Travelers Rest Mulch

The town's name is honest history: wagons and drovers stopped here to rest before taking the old road up into the mountains, and people have been passing through ever since. Travelers Rest Mulch works the yards they pass, keeping the mowing even, the edges held, the trimming close around light poles and fence lines. In autumn the hardwoods on the ridges turn and then let go all at once, and leaf cleanup becomes the whole afternoon. Clearing a lawn back down to green before winter is one of the more satisfying jobs of the year. It leaves a place looking ready, which suits a town named for the pause before the climb.
