Johnson's Concrete

About Johnson's Concrete

Tigerville mornings start under fog that slides down off Glassy Mountain and pools in the low pastures before the sun burns it loose. Johnson's Concrete keeps lawns in this stretch of the Greenville County foothills mowed even, edged clean, and blown free of clippings before the heat climbs. Up here the ground rolls and the grass grows in every direction at once, so the work is as much reading the slope as running the mower. Spring comes early to the Tyger River headwaters and stays late, and the crew follows it — mowing week after week, then hauling off the leaf fall that gathers under the hardwoods each autumn. There is a plain satisfaction in a yard finished at the edge of the mountains: a straight line where the turf meets the drive, and the whole place looking like someone cared.
