Britton's Lawn Services and Landscaping

About Britton's Lawn Services and Landscaping

West of town, Manchester State Forest keeps its longleaf pines in ranks, and each autumn the needles come down in a rust-colored rain that lands on every lawn in the county. Britton's Lawn Services and Landscaping meets that stretch with rakes and blowers, then keeps cutting as long as the grass asks for it. The landscaping side is the slower pleasure — a bed reshaped, shrubs brought back into line, a border that finally makes sense of a yard. Sumter sits where the sandhills lean down toward the flatwoods, and ground like that rewards anyone willing to work with what it already wants to do. The payoff is an October yard that looks deliberate instead of abandoned.
