About Palmetto Landscaping and Design

Summerville calls itself the Flowertown in the Pines, and every April the azaleas make good on it, block after block, beneath tall shade. Palmetto Landscaping and Design works in that filtered light — mowing, edging, trimming and shaping the shrubs that gave this town its name. Pine straw falls all year in Dorchester County, so clearing beds and drives is not a fall chore here, it is a standing one. Centipede and St. Augustine handle the shade and the humidity in their own ways, and the cut height gets set to suit them. There is nothing quite like a Summerville yard finished late in the afternoon, beds dark, lawn even, and the pines throwing long stripes across all of it.
