It's Mowin' Time

About It's Mowin' Time

There's a morning in early March when the Summerville grass finally wakes up, pollen sits on every truck hood, and the first cut of the year gets made. From that day the clock doesn't really stop until October. Mowing on a set rotation, edges cut clean, trimming around trees, posts and fences, walks and drive blown off before the trailer gate comes up. Turf out here rewards regularity more than anything fancy — cut it often enough and it thickens up on its own. Then the season turns, the needles come down, and the work becomes cleanups and bed lines until March rolls around and it's time again.
