About Stukes Lawn Service LLC

Spartanburg keeps railroad hours, and so does a mowing crew. Stukes Lawn Service LLC works the yards that fan out from Morgan Square, where the streets still run the way the rails laid them out and a mower can be cutting before the first light finishes crossing the rooftops. The work is plain and it is exact: a straight pass across the front, an edge cut clean along the walk, the string trimmer run around the mailbox post and the fence line, and every clipping blown off the drive so the concrete reads as bright as the grass. Piedmont red clay grows a stubborn lawn, and it answers to someone who turns up on the same day of the week whether June is steaming or the sweetgums have gone gold. By the time the afternoon heat stacks up over the Hub City, the route is finished and the yards are holding their lines.
