The Canopy Climber

About The Canopy Climber

There is a certain blue in the sky when a hard freeze finally breaks, and the bare oaks along the street stand in it like ink drawings. The Canopy Climber spends those mornings on foot, working a shovel and scraper across steps, porches and walkways where no machine will fit and where ice does its quietest damage. Thresholds and the three feet of path between a car and a front door decide whether an older neighbor gets out at all. It is patient, hand-cold work, and taking a walk back to clean, dry footing feels like winning something small and real. Snow and ice clearing for driveways, entryways and sidewalks around Simpsonville.
