About Southern Ethos Services

Saluda's summer evenings come on slowly, cicadas starting up in the creek bottoms while the heat lets go of the pavement an inch at a time. Southern Ethos Services works the cooler ends of those days — mowing, edging, running the trimmer along ditch banks and fence corners, and clearing the walks so a porch stays a porch. Neighbors here notice a yard about the way they notice a haircut, and keeping a place tended is a small act of good manners. The route covers the town blocks and the long gravel drives around Saluda, Ward and Batesburg-Leesville. By dark the mower is cooling on the trailer and the whole street smells like cut grass.
