For about two weeks every spring, Piedmont turns yellow — pine pollen on the porch rails, on the truck hood, on anything that sits still long enough. Key Lawns opens the season in the middle of it, mowing and trimming and edging while the fescue is still deep green and the mornings stay cool. Through summer the schedule tightens, hard surfaces get cleared with the blower on every visit, and shrubs are shaped before they crowd the windows. Then the leaves arrive, and with them the cleanups that take a yard from buried back to bare. The point of a standing lawn service is that a homeowner stops thinking about the lawn at all — that is the key to the whole thing.
