White’s Walker Repair

About White’s Walker Repair

First light in September and the whole county is soaked in dew, grass silver, farm ponds steaming, the sun not yet over the ridgeline east of Pickens. White's Walker Repair waits that hour out, because wet grass cuts badly and no amount of hurry fixes a torn blade tip. Once it burns off the day belongs to the mower: even passes, trimming around posts and pump houses, a real edge cut along the concrete. Grass here keeps growing long after people expect it to quit, so the route holds well into November. Every yard leaves the same way, cut down, cleaned up, blown off.
