Tuning Point

About Tuning Point

Fog catches on the escarpment above Pickens in May and hangs there until midmorning, mountain laurel blooming pale underneath it. Tuning Point starts once the grass has dried enough to cut without tearing. The work is the same each visit and that is the whole point of it: mow, trim the perimeter, edge the hard surfaces, blow it all clean. Timing matters more than anybody expects in an Upstate spring, when a lawn can put on inches in a single week of rain and sun. Done on the right day, a yard here looks composed rather than merely cut.
