About Afh landscaping

Just north of town the waterwheel at Hagood Mill turns all day over a creek that ran there long before the county had a name, and in the heat the grass around it comes up thick and fast. Afh landscaping mows through that same wet-green stretch of the calendar, when a Pickens lawn can go shin-high between one Saturday and the next. Trimming around fence posts, mailbox poles and the roots of an old water oak is slow work, and it is the work that makes the mowing look deliberate. Late in the afternoon, with the walk blown clean and the edge cut sharp along the drive, a yard holds its shape until the next storm comes down off the escarpment. Keeping to a set day is the entire trick.
