Tristan’s Tree Service

About Tristan’s Tree Service

July in Paxville is corn to the horizon and pecan shade over the houses, and by two in the afternoon the western sky is already thinking about it. Tristan's Tree Service works those Clarendon County crossroads — removing pines that have gone brittle at the top, trimming pecan limbs before a storm sends one through a porch roof, pruning young shade trees so they grow into a shape worth having. When a storm does come through, the cleanup runs out the farm roads for days: limbs out of the ditches, tops out of the fields, a yard swept back to green. The reward is small and specific — a truck can back to the barn again, a mower can make a clean pass, the porch has its shade and nothing hanging over it that shouldn't be. Paxville, Manning, Summerton, Turbeville and the roads toward Lake Marion are the usual ground.
