C & J Pine Needles

About C & J Pine Needles

Under the longleaf and loblolly stands around Pageland, autumn puts down its own mulch, and it only takes hands and a rake to gather it. C & J works in pine straw — raking, baling, and laying fresh needles into beds until they lie flat and even — alongside mowing, trimming and seasonal yard cleanup. Straw spread new goes down the color of a copper penny, and for a week afterward the whole yard smells like the woods. It holds the sand in place through the winter rains and softens every line it borders. Some work you can smell before you can see it.
